Winter Activities

Sleigh Ride
Nothing says winter fun like a cozy sleigh ride through the snow. Sun Valley offers
half-hour tour of the scenic area between the Sun Valley Inn and Trail Creek Cabin.
The sleigh rides depart from the Sun Valley Inn Lobby Lounge and are $20 per person.

Fly Fishing
Silver Creek Outfitters offers a 3 hour guided fly-fishing excursions during the afternoons.
A fly fishing package for 2 including rental gear and transportation costs $325. You and your
fishing buddies could be picked up at the Lodge at noon, right after the morning sessions,
and be brought back to the Lodge prior to the 4:30 paper session. Book at least 1 week in advance.

Ice Skating
Join the fun at the coolest place in Sun Valley and the best place to take in the stars.
Every year skating’s biggest names take to Sun Valley’s Ice. Take a lesson, get an autograph
or just watch from rink side. Skate Rentals available. Full service Skate Shop on premises.

Tubing
Dollar Mountain is the home of the Tubing Hill. Rubber meets the snow in three 600-ft.
lanes. A fun on-snow activity for the entire family, The Tubing Park is just steps
from Carol’s Dollar Mountain Lodge so hot chocolate is nearby.

Heated Swimming Pool & Sauna
The Sun Valley Lodge Pool is heated year-round and is located off the hotel’s Lobby.
During the winter months the water is heated to a soothing 100-102 degrees. Cocktail service is available après ski. A dry sauna and massage center complete the spa setting.

Bowling

Located in the Sun Valley Lodge, the Bowling Alley and Game Room is open year round.
One of the Pacific Northwest’s oldest bowling alleys, with a 1950’s atmosphere, featuring
6 lanes, video games, a Juke Box, pool table and snack bar.

The Sun Valley Lodge Fitness Center features two Star Trac treadmills, and two Star Trac
exercise bicycles, a Reebok Fusion eliptical trainer, a free weight set, a Cybex lat pull-down,
bench-press and leg extension/curl.
